About me
Seven years, one recurring question
What, exactly, is this site meant to do for the person who owns it.
My path
How I got here
I'm Lida Ahmadi — a software engineer who designs websites. For about seven years my work has been building sites that have a job to do, not just a look to hold.
I studied software engineering, and it shaped how I read a website from the start: what a visitor experiences on the surface, and what runs underneath it. I spent years as a web designer at a hosting company, working across a wide range of businesses and the very real problems they arrived with.
These days I work independently, straight with the person whose business it is. From the first conversation to launch, one person is accountable and nothing gets lost in a handover.
Alongside design I keep learning about AI and where it actually earns its place. I take courses, then apply what's useful — answering the questions you get asked over and over, or lifting repetitive work off your desk.
What I believe
A good website isn't only attractive. It should be fast, make the path obvious, look like a professional made it, and fit what the business actually needs. Without that, beauty is just a picture.
