Terms

The terms the work runs on. Every project also has its own quote or agreement, and wherever that document says something different, it takes precedence.

Last updated:5 September 2026

What is offered

Website design, redesign of an existing site, landing pages, chatbots and voice agents. The exact scope of each project is set out in that project's quote.

Estimates and price

The first estimate you get after the request form is an estimate, not a fixed price. The price becomes fixed once the scope is clear and both sides have agreed it.

If the scope changes mid-project — a new page, a new feature, a change of direction — the price and timeline are revisited, and you hear about it before any work happens.

Payment

How and when payment happens is set out in each project's quote. Work is normally delivered in stages, and payment follows the same stages.

What I need from you

A project depends on your content, images, access and feedback. If those arrive late the timeline moves; it is by far the most common cause of delay.

You are responsible for the accuracy of the content you provide and for holding the rights to any images and text.

Review and revisions

You get to review and comment at every stage. The number of revision rounds is set in the quote so it isn't a source of disagreement later.

A full redesign after a stage has been approved counts as new work rather than a revision.

Ownership

Once payment is complete, the design and the code written for your project belong to you.

Tools, libraries and general-purpose frameworks used in the build remain under their own licences and are not transferred.

Unless you'd rather I didn't, I may show the project in my own portfolio. If you'd prefer not, just say.

Third-party services

Hosting, domains, email services and any external API — AI services among them — carry their own costs and terms, separate from the design fee.

Their availability is outside my control.

Support after launch

Three months of support, covering fixes and guidance on running the site, is part of the agreement.

Adding new features or changing the design during that window counts as new work.

If a project stops

If a project is halted partway, the work completed up to that point is invoiced and settled, and the files from that stage are handed over.

Limits

I work to deliver a site that is correct, fast and secure. I can't guarantee a particular commercial result, a specific Google ranking or a level of sales; those depend on many things outside the design.

My responsibility is limited to the service I have provided.

Changes to these terms

This page may be updated. The date of the last change is shown at the top, and each project's agreement rests on the version available when it was signed.
